The march was from Kings College, The Strand, London to Downing Street and was calling for an end to job cuts in Higher Education

Sussex University UCU members strike

Will be going to take some photos at this strike action which is in opposition to the 115 proposed job cuts at Sussex University

It’s also interesting in the context of the actions of students there (and the occupation of a lecture theatre which is now in it’s 8th day)

I wandered up to the University of Sussex yesterday evening to have a chat with some of the Students taking part in the occupation of Arts A2

All were in good spirits and cheerful last night, as is the mood today

Students from the University of Sussex also protested about the actions of Police and University Management following a demonstration about job cuts that was held at the University in the previous week
